Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT) is organising a two-day theme meeting on “Laser Technology for Nuclear Applications (LTNA-2025)” on June 27-28. The meeting will cover invited talks from eminent scientists and engineers working in laser and nuclear fields and will have a special session on interactive poster presentations with young scientists and engineers from different units of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and RRCAT.
The emphasis of this theme meeting is to showcase laser-based advanced technologies developed by RRCAT, which are being used in various nuclear programmes, and to gear up for the future challenges and applications for DAE.
Dr Komal Kapoor, chairman and chief executive, Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC), Hyderabad will be the chief guest and Sanjay Kumar Malviya, Site Director, Kakrapar, Gujarat site, Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) will be the guest of honour at the inaugural function.
Unmesh D Malshe, director, RRCAT will preside over the function. The theme meeting is organized under leadership of Dr Sudhir Kumar Dixit, chairman, LTNA-2025.
Officials from various DAE units and professionals working in these fields will participate in the meeting to share the knowledge/ideas, strengthen collaborations and foster innovations in this diverse, complex and dynamic technology domain. The meeting is sponsored by the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences.
