Indore: Retiring & Retired Defence Personnel Trained In CAT

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Indore-Dewas Chapter of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) gave the training of accounting technician to the retiring and retired army personnel.

The third batch of the Certificate in Accounting Technician (CAT) Course for retiring and retired defence personnel was inaugurated at the Chapter office on Wednesday.

The course is being conducted in coordination with the Directorate General of Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defence. A total of 24 participants enrolled for this batch, including 14 from the Army, 8 from the Navy and 2 from the Indian Air Force.

Lt. Col. Prashant Mishra, Head of Training Team, Directorate General of Resettlement, joined the event via video conferencing as the chief guest. He emphasised the importance of financial and accounting knowledge for all individuals and appreciated ICMAI’s efforts in conducting CAT courses across India.

CMA RS Bhati, chairman of the CAT Course Committee, informed the participants that ICMAI is in the process of developing a Job Portal dedicated to candidates from the defence services who complete the CAT course.

On this occasion, CMA Rahul Jain vice chairman, CMA Pankaj Raizada secretary, CMA Yash Vagrecha treasurer and senior member CMA Ravindra Dubey were also present. CMA R.K. Jain proposed the vote of thanks.
