Indore (Madhya Pradesh): During the combing patrolling by the police, action has been taken against more than 500 criminals in the city between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
About 140 people were caught while they were driving under alcohol influence so their vehicles were seized by the police.
On the instructions of CP Santosh Kumar Singh, the DCPs of all four zones instructed their subordinates to take action against the criminal by conducting combing patrolling especially in the sensitive areas of the city.

The police teams of all zones started searching and took action against 533 criminals for their involvement in criminal activities in their areas.
277 warrants were executed
During the drive, 277 warrants were executed to the absconding criminals. 140 people were found driving and riding vehicles under influence of liquor and were booked under section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
4 people booked for violating traffic rules
Four people were booked for driving the vehicles violating traffic rules. 15 cases were registered against people consuming liquor in public places.
Many theft accused, robbery accused, history-sheeters etc. were also detained by the police teams.
