Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached property of Beldar of Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) Aslam Khan worth Rs 1.89 cr in a case of disproportionate asset. Earlier also, ED had attached some properties of Khan. ED Indore informed about this development through a post on X on Wednesday.

Indore ED has informed that it has provisionally attached movable and immovable property worth Rs 1.89 cr. (approx) on February 18 under the provisions of PMLA, 2002 in an investigation related to disproportionate assets against the then Beldar Aslam Khan working under Indore Municipal Corporation.

In the same case, ED had attached many properties of Aslam in the year 2021 as well. During this, ED had seized more than 1 kg of gold, Rs 25 lakh cash along with agricultural land and 4 plots from him. The value of these properties was then more than Rs 5 cr. Aslam first came on the radar of Lokayukta, which had raided his locations in 2018.

During the raid, property worth Rs 25 cr was revealed. Aslam had got compassionate appointment in IMC on the post of Beldar in the year 2003 after the death of his father. During that time, his monthly salary was only Rs 18,000. After the Lokayukta action, ED had registered a case against Aslam.
