Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore residents were greeted with clear skies and bright sunshine on Saturday morning, offering a refreshing change after days of cloudy weather.

Following nearly 2.5 inches of rainfall on Thursday, the city saw an overcast start on Friday. Although many expected more showers, the rains did not occur, and by midday, the sun broke through the clouds.

The rest of the day saw a mix of sunshine and scattered cloud cover.

According to weather experts, the pleasant weather may not last long. Light showers are possible later in the day, with some areas of the city likely to experience brief spells of rain.

Despite the absence of heavy rainfall on Friday, both day and night temperatures remained steady. The maximum temperature was recorded at 30°C, while the minimum stood at 22°C. The daytime temperature is currently 3°C below the seasonal average, and the nighttime temperature is 1°C lower than usual. The city also experienced some relief from humidity.

At present, two troughs are passing through the northeastern and southern regions of the country, leading to rain alerts in the northern and southern districts of Madhya Pradesh. Senior meteorologist Dr. Divya E. Surendran stated that no major weather changes are expected over the next five days. While isolated areas may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall, Indore is not likely to witness intense showers during this period.
