On June 4, two robbers managed to flee with a gold chain from a woman at gunpoint in the garden of Kalpana Lok Colony. While fleeing, the magazine of the pistol used in the crime fell on the spot.
A case was registered by the Palasia police and a team led by the police station in charge Manish Kumar Mishra was constituted by the senior officers for the arrest of the accused.
The police reviewed CCTV footage from the area and found that two individuals on a motorcycle had been seen roaming between 5 am and 8 am. Acting on this lead, the police launched a checking drive during their morning patrol.
Later, a tip-off indicated that two suspects on a bike were heading from Chandralok Colony towards Khajrana. In response, police teams were strategically deployed at both Khajrana Square and Bengali Square service roads.
Upon spotting a police vehicle, the suspects attempted to flee but lost control and crashed their bike on the road. Both were apprehended on the spot. A country-made pistol (without magazine) and the looted gold chain were recovered from their possession.
