Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A heartfelt story on the importance of staying away from addiction won the second prize in ‘Nashe Se Doori Hai Zaruri’ short film contest held across Madhya Pradesh by Indore Police Commissionerate.
The short film, completed in just two days, was created by a group of eight first-time filmmakers. The entire concept and shooting were curated by Anand Shivre, a photojournalist from Free Press, who also directed and filmed it with the help of his friends and family.
Despite challenges like rain, limited resources and tight deadlines, the team worked passionately, managing shooting, acting, editing and sound entirely on their own. The cast of the film were Rohit Shivre, Renuka Rathore, Nitesh Patel and others.
Shivre shared, ‘The goal wasn’t the prize, but to feel the love and recognition for meaningful work from all Indorians.’ With help from family and friends, the team brought their vision to life without any prior experience.
The award was presented by police commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh in the presence of additional CP (Law and order) Amit Singh and additional CP (Crime and headquarters) Manoj Shrivastava.
