Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Former BJP MLA Shantilal Dhabai said that “all of us public representatives are thieves.” The former MLA gave this strange statement in a programme in Badnagar.
The former MLA was addressing a religious program in Brahmin Baroda village. He also raised questions on the honesty of journalists and officials and said- 'Tell me, who is honest?'
The former MLA, while speaking from the stage, said “There is faith in religion in this small village, brother Sanjay Patel, what he said, in fact, he has a lot of faith in religion. He has spent his whole life in religious nature and we people who are thieves, public representatives, should always be ready to serve them. Those who become public representatives should work with their honesty, Sanjay Bhai has taught us.”
On hearing the words of former BJP MLA Shantilal Dhabai, the BJP leaders sitting on the stage were surprised at first, then started laughing. Dhabai not only called himself, but all the public representatives 'thieves'. Shantilal Dhabai has been an MLA from Badnagar twice.
Dhabai has been in controversies
Former MLA Shantilal Dhabai has been in controversies many times before. In July 2022, he had a dispute with SDM Nidhi Singh regarding water drainage in village Bangred of Badnagar.
Actually, to solve the problem of waterlogging in the area, the SDM had reached the spot with a JCB and was getting the work done. Then the former MLA reached there and started talking about changing the method of water drainage. When he started speaking in an objectionable tone, the SDM got angry.
