Kukshi (Madhya Pradesh): Farmers in Kukshi are finally smiling after years of hardship caused by the necessity to cross the river to access their fields in Dhanaura village.
During rainy season, the river often swells, making it impossible for farmers to transport vehicles or bullock carts to their lands. This situation has led to significant crop losses and financial distress for the farming community.
Recently, during a public hearing, Dhar Collector Priyank Mishra met with a delegation of farmers led by councillor Sanjay Sirvi. They expressed their concerns about the challenges they faced in reaching their fields. Kukshi SDM Vishal Dhakad, who had previously inspected the area, was also present. The collector assured farmers that their issues would be addressed promptly.
In response to the urgency of the situation, the collector directed immediate action. On Sunday, sub-engineers Rajeshwari Patel and Sunil Damor from Janpad Panchayat Kukshi inspected the Kapsi river site to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for constructing a proper pathway.
The development will facilitate easier access for farmers, allowing them to cultivate their lands without hindrance. Local leaders and farmers expressed gratitude to the collector and SDM for their swift intervention.
