Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a significant development, Indore police on Wednesday announced a cash reward of Rs10,000 for information leading to the arrest of Congress corporator Anwar Qadri, who is absconding in connection with a controversial ‘love jihad’ case under Banganga police station limits.
Qadri was named as a conspirator after two youths, allegedly incentivised to marry girls from a different community, were caught by members of a Hindu organisation. During questioning, the duo claimed they had received Rs3 lakh from Qadri to facilitate the marriages. Based on their statements, Qadri was booked under relevant sections for criminal conspiracy.

Since then, police teams have conducted multiple raids at several locations, including Qadri’s two residences. However, he remains untraceable and is believed to have fled the city to avoid arrest.
In a bid to fast-track the investigation, DCP (Zone-3) Hansraj Singh has officially announced a Rs10,000 reward for anyone who provides actionable information or directly aids in Qadri's arrest. Authorities have assured that the identity of any informant will be kept strictly confidential.
The case has drawn political attention due to Qadri's role as a public representative, and police sources said efforts are being intensified to track him down.
