Burhanpur (Madhya Pradesh): A show-cause notice has been issued against an Anganwadi worker for violating the model code of conduct. She was found seeking votes for her relative who was contesting as an Independent candidate at polling station 57 on Wednesday.

Reportedly, Rubina Sheikh is working under the Integrated Child Development Project by the Women and Child Development Department in Burhanpur area and is a resident of Sector Number 2, Bairi Maidan.

She was also removed from the post of Block Level Officer of booth 57 when she was found promoting her brother who is a candidate in the polls. The show-cause notice has to be answered within three days.
