Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Three Pakistani citizens have been deported from Indore who had come to the city on short-term visas, an official said on Monday. Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir efforts are underway across the country to send back Pakistani citizens who entered India on short-term visas.

In Indore, a total of 18 Pakistani nationals had arrived under different visa categories. Among them, 15 hold long-term visas and have not been deported.

Additional police commissioner Amit Singh said that after the Pahalgam attack, India tightened its policies, mandating that all Pakistani citizens on short-term visas must be sent back by April 27 and who had come on medical visas by April 29.

According to government-issued guidelines, all such Pakistani nationals present in Indore have been deported.

Singh further added that strict screening is being conducted and any Pakistani citizen attempting to hide will face strict action under Passport Act. Legal action will also be taken against those who assist them in evading deportation.

So far, no specific instructions have been received regarding Sindhi community members. Additionally, no Pakistani citizens have arrived in Indore on medical visas.
