Kolkata: A ruckus erupted in a train in West Bengal after an elderly man allegedly recorded a video of a woman on a train in West Bengal. However, when the woman caught him recording the video, she started slapping him. The incident was caught on camera and soon it went viral on social media. The video first surfaced on March 6. The man has been identified as Mafikul Islam. In another video, the woman and other passengers could also be seen thrashing the man.
According to Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP's) Keya Ghosh, a local Trinamool Congress leader Mohammed Zim Nawaz leaked personal details of the woman online due to which she is now getting threats. Ghosh alleged that Nawaz accompanied "pervert" Mafikul Islam, who lodged a complaint against the woman. Ghosh also alleged that Nawaz was giving a communal angle to the entire incident.
In the viral video, the elderly man belonging to a minority community could be seen filing the woman with the front camera of his mobile phone. Suddenly the woman realised that she was being filmed by the man sitting next to him, she then slapped him several times.

Later other passengers present on the train also came in support of the woman and thrashed the man. He has been identified as Mafikul Islam.
After the video went viral, Muslim outfits demanded the arrest of the video. They even staged a protest.
Key Ghosh's Allegations:
"And as expected, Local Trinamool even accompanied Mafikul Islam who has lodged a complaint against the lady giving it a communal angle. On the other hand it has been almost 24 hours that Md Zim Nawaz made the details of the lady public on Facebook, but WB Police took NO steps against him yet. The lady and her family's lives are under threat courtesy Zim Nawaz." the Ghosh tweeted.
"I have personally spoken to her and on behalf of my Party, have assured her of every help. Even our State and Central leadership are constantly in touch with her and we have lodged a report to @NCWIndia and have demanded strict action against this Zim Nawaz," she added.
The train was reportedly travelling from Navadip to Malda.
