New Delhi: As information about Operation Sindoor, India's daring cross-border attack aimed at terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), emerged, festivities broke out nationwide. From the court premises of Rajasthan to the markets of Maharashtra and the neighborhoods of Madhya Pradesh, people celebrated the occasion with pride, patriotism, and happiness.

In Bhandara, Maharashtra, the early activity of the nearby vegetable market turned into a moment of celebration. Farmers and vendors halted their regular business to set off firecrackers, shout slogans, and commemorate what many referred to as a “robust and essential reaction” to terrorism. "We take pride in our soldiers," remarked Ganesh Patil, a farmer from Tumsar, while sweets were handed out generously and the tricolour flew high.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta states, "I salute the armed forces and the prime minister for taking this decisive decision that has 140 crore Indians proud. This Operation Sindoor has given justice to my sisters who were affected during Pahalgam terror attack. Entire India is feeling satisfied now," according to PTI.

In Dombivli, another city in Maharashtra, locals conveyed comparable feelings. "Today is a day filled with immense happiness." “We feel very pleased as we have strongly responded to our attackers,” remarked a local while holding the national flag.

Residents of Agra have come together with a joyous feeling in celebrations and support of Operation Sindoor. People are seen distributing sweets in public while chanting "Hindustan Zindabad".

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, the atmosphere was just as positive. Community members united to share sweets, embrace each other, and raise the Indian flag in a display of national pride and unity. The heartfelt celebration exemplified a profound feeling of justice and validation after the April 22 Pahalgam terror strike that resulted in 26 fatalities.

In Jodhpur, Rajasthan, attorneys paused their official activities to partake in the festivities alongside the public. Upon arriving at the High Court, they assembled in large crowds, setting off firecrackers and shouting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram,” transforming the court area into a hub of nationalistic zeal.

People of Bhilwara in state of Rajasthan came together with a joyous feeling at the Information Centre Square; lit fire-crackers while chanting praises and cheers.

Residents of Musheerabad took out a rally with Tri-colour flags in their hands, celebrating the success of Operation Sindoor and attack against Pakistan avenging the Pahalgam attack.

Operation Sindoor, carried out by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, signifies the most profound coordinated incursion into Pakistani territory since 1971. It focused on nine terror centers run by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), featuring crucial sites utilized for infiltration and drone operations. The civilian festivities throughout states reflect the public sentiment — one of togetherness, strength, and patriotism — against terrorism
