Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), March 16: A shocking incident took place in Jitola village, Rohata development block, Meerut, where a drunken man stormed into a primary school and caused chaos. When the acting headmistress protested, the man threatened the village head and teachers, claiming links to a notorious criminal from Rajasthan. The incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media.
Drunk Man Disrupts School
On Saturday afternoon, Shivkumar, son of Ramesh and a resident of Jitola village, entered the primary school in a heavily intoxicated state. He started creating trouble in front of acting headmistress Ruchi Mittal and other staff members. When the staff tried to stop him, he took off his clothes and stood semi-naked, creating a scene.
Students Forced Out, Teachers Threatened
The drunken man forced the children out of their classroom and sent them home. A liquor bottle was visibly tucked into his pants. As the staff recorded his act on their mobile phones, he started threatening the teachers and the village head, saying he was associated with Rajasthan’s infamous criminal Pappal Gurjar.
Villagers Take Action
When the villagers heard about the incident, they rushed to the school, caught Shivkumar, and thrashed him before handing him over to the police. A female teacher filed a complaint against him. The police registered a case and arrested the accused.
Police Issues Statement
The police said, "A case has been registered on the basis of a complaint received that a local resident entered the primary school in #ग्राम_जिटौला area in a drunken state and misbehaved with the teacher and others present in the school and obstructed government work. Bite of Superintendent of Police (Rural) regarding the arrest of the accused and sending him to judicial custody."
Incident Goes Viral
The entire incident was recorded on video and quickly went viral on social media. People were shocked as the drunken man entered a girls' classroom after stripping and tried to attack the teachers. He even attempted to shut down the school. The police acted on the complaint of the assistant teachers and arrested him.
