UP: A bizarre incident occurred at the police residential quarters within the Ujhani Kotwali premises in UP's Badaun when a stray bull managed to climb up to the third floor.
The bull entered the police station compound in the afternoon while officers were busy with their duties. Unnoticed, it made its way up to the third floor of the residential block. Police personnel immediately alerted municipal officials for assistance.
A municipal team attempted to lure the bull downstairs using food, but this only agitated the animal further. As the risk of the bull falling from the height increased, veterinary officer Dr Vivek Maheshwari was called to the scene.

According to reports, Avinash Sharma, an animal welfare activist and councillor from the Ujhani Helping Society, also arrived to help. Together, the team administered a tranquiliser injection to sedate the bull. It was then carefully lowered using ropes.
Before reaching the ground floor, the bull fell unconscious and had to be dragged down the stairs. It sustained minor injuries during the process, which were treated by the veterinarian. The bull was later sent to a cow shelter. The entire operation lasted nearly three hours.
