A disturbing case of animal cruelty has emerged from ttar Pradesh's Raebareli, where a man was caught on camera brutally assaulting a bovine that was tied to a wall. The incident reportedly took place in Mohanganj village under the Salon Police Station jurisdiction.

In the viral video, a man can be seen repeatedly striking the helpless animal's head with a large stick while onlookers watched from atop a wall, none intervening to stop the assault. The motive behind this cruel act remains unclear.

The footage has triggered widespread outrage on social media, with users demanding strict action against the perpetrator.

Reacting to the video, a user said, "Now humans have become worse than animals."

Demanding police action in the case, another user said, "How can someone beat a voiceless creature like that? If you just sprinkle water on it, it will go away on its own. This should be reported to the police, and the same kind of punishment should be inflicted on the person."

A third user highlighted the issue of stray cattle that destroy the crops of farmers. "Sitting in urban housing society flats and talking about cow protection and welfare is easy. Ask the farmers living in villages who toil in their fields during the day and guard their crops at night to protect them from stray cattle," he said.

Responding to the viral video, Raebareli Police has taken cognizance of the matter and instructed the Inspector in-charge at Salon police station to take necessary action.
