Lucknow: A tragic road accident occurred in Lucknow’s Sarojini Nagar on Saturday when an LPG tanker, reversing without a conductor or functioning rear lights, collided with a loader vehicle. The crash claimed the life of 26-year-old driver Monu Pal, whose body was crushed inside the cabin.
The incident took place near Miranpur Pinvat on the Kanpur Road side of Kisan Path. Monu, a resident of Khurrampur in Banthra, was operating his loader under contract with a PNG company. The loader was severely damaged, and despite rescue efforts, Monu was declared dead. at Sarojini Nagar Community Health Centre.
Eyewitnesses noted the tanker lacked essential safety protocols. The driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. Police have seized the tanker and launched an investigation.
