Lucknow: The 52nd birthday of Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was celebrated with great fervour across Uttar Pradesh. From party headquarters in Lucknow to district offices, celebrations reflected both political solidarity and public affection for the leader.
At the Samajwadi Party office in Lucknow, supporters gathered in large numbers with bouquets, balloons, and drums. The premises were decked with hoardings and banners. A hawan was conducted at the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple in Hazratganj for Akhilesh’s health and long life. This was followed by distribution of sweets.
Senior SP leader and Akhilesh’s uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav extended birthday greetings and declared him the "next Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh." His statement was widely seen as a message of unity and endorsement within the party ranks.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi also wished Akhilesh on social media, calling him “brother” and vowing to “stand shoulder to shoulder in the fight for justice and equality.”
SP's national spokesperson Anurag Bhadauria marked the occasion by performing 52 dips, symbolizing each year of Akhilesh’s life. He said he hoped to see Akhilesh complete 200 years and pledged to do 200 dips for him one day.
Several leaders and well-wishers, including former ministers, MPs, and MLAs, joined the celebrations in various districts. At many places, supporters organized cultural events, recited the Sundarkand, and offered food to the poor.
The celebrations also signaled strong grassroots support for Akhilesh and a visible effort by the party to showcase unity and strength ahead of upcoming state elections.
