Jaipur: In a welcome step, the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) has announced special discounts for soldiers, retired army personal and war widows in all its hotels and guest houses in Rajasthan.
Under this, soldiers and retired army personal will be given a discount of 25 percent on staying in RTDC hotels and guest houses, while the war widows will be given a discount of 50 percent.
Announcing this, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said that this decision is a small endeavor towards honoring bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism of our armed forces.
“With this decision, the central, and state government wants to give the message that the society is always indebted to the heroes and their families who are protecting our country and the double engine government always stands with the families of our brave soldiers,” said Diya Kumari adding that this will give a unique opportunity to the soldiers and their families to experience the rich heritage and culture of Rajasthan.

This discount has come into effect with immediate effect in all RTDC hotels and guest houses of the state. The beneficiaries will have to submit identity card or relevant documents to avail the discount.
Notably, RTDC operates 31 hotels in all the major cities and tourist destinations of Rajasthan including Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Ranthambore and Sariska.
