Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), April 2025: A shocking video has surfaced on the internet in which it can be seen that three youths are being brutally thrashed by miscreants in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh. It can be seen in the video that the mob stripped the youths naked and thrashed them brutally with sticks and rods in front of a crowd in the middle of the road.
The horrific video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. There were reports that the youths were Dalit and they were thrashed for chanting "Jai Bhim". The police initiated an investigation into the matter after the video went viral on social media.

The police later clarified that there is no caste-related issue. The youths were brutally beaten for passing lewd comments against a school girl. However, when the girls raised an alarm, the mob took action and thrashed them in the middle of the road.
The incident reportedly occurred in Lodha Police Station area in Aligarh. There are reports that the three youths were seriously injured after being beaten by the mob on the Chikavati Highway Road.
As per reports from Bharat Samachar, the altercation began when the Dalit youths chanted "Jai Bhim," a slogan symbolising respect and pride for Dalit leader Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The slogan allegedly triggered anger among a group of Thakur men. Soon after, nearly a dozen individuals surrounded the Dalit youths, forcibly stripped them and beat them mercilessly with sticks and rods on the roadside. However, the police have refuted these claims and issued clarification in connection with the matter.
The three youths suffered critical injuries in the attack. They were left battered and barely conscious before passersby intervened and helped them receive medical attention. Their condition is reported to be serious.
The police reached the spot and took the accused into their custody and initiated an investigation into the matter. In the initial investigation, the police found that the youths were involved in the harassment of the school girl in the area. The police have reportedly registered an FIR and initiated legal actions against the accused.
Aligarh Police replied to the viral video and said, "There was a dispute between two parties over some issue, in which preventive action has been taken, the area officer was directed to thoroughly investigate all other aspects and take necessary action."
The police also said, "Police station Lodha - On 26.04.25, near Chikavati village under police station Lodha, three boys were passing lewd comments and lewd remarks at a school girl. When the girl raised an alarm, the passersby beat up the three boys. A case was registered at police station Lodha and legal action was initiated in connection with the lewd comments made on the girl. No caste-related issue has come to light in the investigation so far."
