Ghaziabad, April 2025: In a shocking incident a customer was surprised to find cockroaches crawling over the pani puri kept in a box at a famous restaurant in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad. The customer recorded the incident on his mobile phone and shared the video on social media. The shocking video has exposed poor hygiene at the well-known Kaleva Restaurant in Rajnagar Extension. Despite the restaurant's big name and high prices, basic cleanliness appears to be missing, said the customer in the viral video.
In the video which hit the internet on April 26, cockroaches can be seen crawling around the golgappas (pani puri), raising serious health concerns. Eating such unhygienic food could easily make customers fall sick. The man recording the video, confronted the hotel staff and asked him to call the owner of the restaurant.
A journalist shared the video on social media and said, "Name and price are big but vision is small! Look at the level of hygiene at Kaleva restaurant in Rajnagar Extension, how cockroaches are seen roaming around among the Golgappas, it is natural to fall sick after eating them. Even the street vendors have better cleanliness standards than this, but despite selling food at ten times the price, only brands are being served. The video has been made by local citizen Akhilesh."
The internet users are reacting to the video after it went viral on social media. They said that even small street vendors maintain better hygiene standards compared to this popular restaurant. Yet, Kaleva charges almost ten times more, offering only its brand name without proper quality.

The video was recorded and shared by a local citizen identified as Akhilesh, who expressed concern over the condition of the food being served to customers. The internet users are now demanding strict action and better cleanliness from the restaurant management to ensure the safety of the public.
