In a shocking case from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, the mother of Muskan Rastogi has demanded the death penalty for her daughter who allegedly murdered her husband with the help of her lover.

Speaking to a private news channel, Muskan Rastogi's mother said, "Ever since Saurabh went to London, Muskan lived separately from everyone. Shubhi (Muskan) didn't get along with her in-laws and only stayed with them for a year. Saurabh (Muskan's husband) blindly loved her. Our daughter was badtameez (ill-mannered)... Saurabh gave up his parents' property worth crores for Shubhi."

When asked by reporters what should happen next, Muskan's parents stated, "She should be hanged. She has lost the right to live."

According to reports, Muskan's husband Saurabh Rajput, who worked as a Merchant Navy officer in London, had visited his wife in February to celebrate her birthday. Saurabh was stabbed to death on March 4. Muskan and her lover, Sahil Shukla, allegedly chopped Saurabh's body into pieces. The accused then placed Saurabh's body parts into a drum filled with cement and sealed it. The victim's decomposed remains were recovered on Tuesday.

The case came to light after Muskan's mother approached the police and informed them that her daughter had confessed to killing Saurabh, as reported by India Today.

The body has been sent for autopsy, and police have filed a case following a complaint from the Rajput family. According to family members, Muskan tried to deceive them by sending messages using Rajput's phone. Police reported that Rajput and Muskan, who are from Gauripura, had married in 2016 after a romantic relationship.
