New Delhi: Ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, July 21, hailed Operation Sindoor. He said that the Indian Defence Forces achieved all their objectives in the Operation Sindoor against terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
"Under Operation Sindoor, the houses of the masters of terrorists were razed to the ground within 22 minutes. The world has been very attracted to this new form of Made in India military power," PM Modi told reporters.
"These days, whenever I meet people of the world, the world's attraction towards the Made in India weapons being made by India is increasing," he added.
PM Modi appealed to all political parties to work together for the betterment of the country.
"The country has seen the power of unity. So all the MPs in the House, give it strength, take it forward and I will definitely say that every political party has its own agenda, its own role, but I accept this reality that 'Dal hitt mein mat bhale na mile lekin desh hit mein mann jarur mile' (political parties might have different opinions based on ideologies, but we should be on the same page when it is about the betterment of the nation)..." PM Modi said.
The Prime Minister also stated that the monsoon session of Parliament is like a victory celebration as India's Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla became the first Indian to travel to the International Space Station (ISS).
"This Monsoon session of Parliament is like a victory celebration. India's flag being hoisted at the International Space Station is a moment of pride for every Indian. All MPs and the countrymen in one voice will glorify this feat. It will be an inspiration for our future missions," PM Modi said.
Talking about the progress of the monsoon in the country, the Prime Minister said, "Monsoon is a symbol of innovation and new creation. As per the news received so far, the season is progressing very well in the country. There are reports of a beneficial season for agriculture. And rain is very important for the economy of farmers, the country's economy, rural economy and not only this, the economy of every family."
The Monsoon Session of Parliament is set to begin today on a stormy note with the Opposition INDIA bloc gearing to corner Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Centre on several key issues, including the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, Bihar Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and Air India (AI) 171 crash.
The opposition is also likely to corner the government on United States President Donald Trump's repeated claims of brokering peace between India and Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. This is the first session of Parliament being held after Operation Sindoor, India's precision strike on terror camps in the aftermath of the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 people.
