Patna: Bihar chief minister and JD (U) president Nitish Kumar on Saturday greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for BJP`s impressive victory in Delhi assembly election.

While greeting Modi and BJP on the victory, Nitish commented on ‘X’, “Congratulations and good wishes to BJP for its huge victory in the Delhi Assembly elections. The people of Delhi have expressed their full faith in the able leadership of the respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Many congratulations to the respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this historic victory.”

Meanwhile, Bihar BJP is in a buoyant mood after the party`s impressive victory in Delhi assembly election even as the main opposition party, RJD, claimed that the Delhi poll result would not have any impact on the grand alliance`s prospects in Bihar election, due in October-November.

Senior BJP leader and Bihar health minister Mandal Pandey claimed that NDA would register landslide victory in Bihar polls the way BJP staged a comeback in Delhi after crossing the majority mark. “People have voted out one Yuvraj in Delhi and now the second Yuvraj will also be shown the door,” he remarked.

“A large number of people from Bihar and Poorvanchal live in Delhi and they have overwhelmingly supported BJP in the assembly election. BJP`s victory in Delhi also vindicated Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s various development initiatives taken by him in the interest of people,” he added.

Deputy chief minister Samrat Choudhary who was BJP`s star campaigner in Delhi and several ministers participated in the celebrations. Bihar Mahila Morcha president and Rajya Sabha member Dharmshila Gupta along with a large number of women workers also joined the celebrations. Bihar BJP president and state revenue and land reforms minister Dileep Jaiswal also greeted party workers and people of Delhi on the party`s victory.

Meanwhile, senior RJD leader and party spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan claimed that BJP registered its victory in Delhi but its two allies licked the dust in the polls while referring to defeats of JD (U) candidate in Burari and LJP (Ram Vilas) candidate in Deoli. He said that both Burari and Deoli constituencies had a huge population of people from Bihar.

“It only reflects the mood of the state`s people how they are losing faith in BJP`s allies,” he added.
