Mercury level dipped on Sunday
The city remained cloudy, with rainfall in a few places on Sunday, May 12, 2025. Numerous parts of the city, including Porur, Ambattur, Redhills, Mugliwakkam, Valsarawakkam, Tambaram, Poonamalle, and Guduvanchery, among others, received showers. The temperatures are also likely to fall by 2-3 degrees Celsius. The rainfall is likely due to a cyclonic circulation over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and the adjoining South Andaman Sea.
