Bengaluru: The Garden City is set to experience light rainfall on Tuesday, May 13 2025. The city woke up at 05: 55 AM with cloudy skies this morning and it is likely to remain the same throughout the day. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 23 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius, respectively. The city is expected to witness the sunset at 06:37 PM. The humidity is expected to be around 74 per cent. The wind is expected to blow from the west at 10 km/h.

KSNDMC shared a weather report on X

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) for seven days and wrote, "Scattered moderate to widespread rain with isolated thundershowers and lightning across the state from today to May 16, with scattered moderate to widespread rain likely in the remaining days. @KarnatakaVarthe #KSNDMC."

Monsoon update

The weather department predicted that rainfall is likely to occur in the city till May 16, and it will be accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. There are also chances of gusty winds, ranging from 30 km/h to 40 km/h. There is a sudden change in weather, particularly during the late afternoon and evening hours. Bengaluruians should stay vigilant and be prepared for sudden weather changes.

The Southwest monsoon session is expected to advance into the South Andaman Sea and parts of the Southeast Bay of Bengal, which is influencing rainfall and activities related to it, like thunderstorms and lightning. The monsoon is also likely to progress into some areas of Maldives, the Comorin area, and the central Bay of Bengal.
