Kanpur: There was chaos at Kanpur Central Railway Station on Tuesday when an altercation between a Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) and a passenger escalated into a violent fight, according to a report by Aaj Tak.

Reportedly, a group of 15 to 20 young men were traveling on a special train from Surat to Muzaffarpur. It is alleged that they forcibly entered the ladies' coach. When the TTE tried to stop them, an argument broke out. The situation escalated further when the TTE forced one of the men off the train and began beating him on the platform.

When other passengers saw a lone individual being assaulted, they initially tried to stop the TTE. However, when he refused to stop, the matter escalated. Enraged passengers began beating the TTE.

The entire incident was captured on a mobile phone by a bystander and quickly went viral on social media.

In the viral video, two Train Ticket Examiners (TTEs) can be seen slapping and beating a man, whose shirt appears to be torn during the assault. Amid the chaos, a voice in the background can be heard saying, "Maro nahi," which translates to "Don't beat him."

In a separate video, the situation takes a turn as a group of men is seen thrashing one of the TTEs. One man is clearly seen pulling the TTE’s hair while he is pinned to the ground.

Following the viral video of the violent altercation at Kanpur Central Railway Station, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) promptly arrived at the scene and detained a passenger identified as Raja Yadav.

However, as of now, no action has been taken against the Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) involved in the incident.
