A horrific road accident in Bulandshahr has resulted in the death of five family members who were tragically burned alive inside their car. The high-speed Swift Dzire veered off course, broke through a culvert, and plummeted approximately five feet before instantly erupting in a ferocious blaze.
The devastating incident occurred around 5:30 AM on Wednesday near the Janipur-Chandaus intersection in the Jahangirabad police station area. Of the six occupants, only one woman managed to escape the inferno. Bystanders, alerted by screams, rushed to the scene and managed to break a car window, pulling the woman to safety. However, by then, the flames had intensified dramatically, preventing any rescue efforts for the remaining five individuals trapped inside.
The deceased have been identified as Jubair (30), his wife Momina (24), and their two-year-old son Zainul. Also among the victims are Momina’s brother Tanveej (26) and his wife Nida (23). Momina’s sister, Gulnaz alias Bhurro, is the sole survivor and is currently receiving treatment for severe injuries at Jahangirabad Community Health Centre.
According to police, the family, residents of Chamanpura in Budaun, had departed from their ancestral home in Sahaswan at 3:30 AM, heading towards Delhi after attending a wedding. Jubair owned the car, which was being driven by Tanveej. Authorities suggest that the driver may have dozed off, leading to the vehicle losing control. The force of the impact and subsequent fire left the bodies severely charred, making identification extremely difficult.

Emergency services, including the local police and fire brigade, arrived swiftly to extinguish the blaze and retrieve the wreckage. The surviving woman reportedly witnessed the harrowing scene as her family perished before her eyes, her desperate screams echoing the futility of rescue attempts against the overwhelming flames. Relatives at the hospital were seen overcome with grief, grappling with the immense loss.
