On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, a blood donation camp was organized on Saturday by IAS, IPS, and IFS officers of the Bihar cadre and their families. A total of 207 people voluntarily donated blood, expressing their commitment to serving suffering humanity.
This blood donation camp was organized under the joint aegis of the Bihar IAS Association, Bihar IPS Association, and Bihar IFS Association. A total of 207 units of blood were collected from the camp and handed over to hospitals to help save lives through timely treatment.
The camp was jointly inaugurated by Bihar Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Prabhat Kumar Gupta, and former Chief Secretary V.S. Dubey.
On the occasion, Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena said, “Blood donation is the greatest donation. A single donation can save a life. Through blood donation, we can truly serve humanity in distress.”
The IAS Wives Association, IPS Wives Association, and IFS Wives Association also contributed to the organization of this blood donation camp.
It is worth noting that World Blood Donor Day is observed every year on June 14. The day is dedicated to voluntary and unpaid blood donors who save countless lives through their selfless contributions. It is not only a moment to express gratitude toward them but also to highlight the ongoing need for safe and regular blood donations.
