The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitering Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report for next five days on X and wrote, "Cloudy weather is expected across the state today & tomorrow, with thunder, lightning and gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph, with scattered moderate rain in coastal, Malnad and south interior districts."

The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in these regions, including coastall areas, North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Today, the rainfall is likely to occur in these regions and it will be accompanied by gusty winds, lightning, and thunderstorms.
