Bengaluru: Supporters of MLA GS Patil protest outside Siddaramaiah's residence; demand ministerial berth for him

Supporters of MLA GS Patil on Tuesday staged protest outside Siddaramaiah's residence in Bengaluru demanding ministerial berth for Patil. The supporters sloganeered in support of Patil and said they want the MLA to be given ministerial berth.

The entrance to Siddaramaiah's home was barricaded by his security. The protestors held placards in support of the GS Patil, a legislator from Rone constituency Assebly.

Protests ahead of Delhi visit to finalise full list of cabinet

Siddaramaiah took charge as CM of Karnataka with Deputy DK Shivakumar and eight ministers on Saturday, May 20. Both CM and Deputy CM will be travelling to Delhi to finalise the full cabinet list with top brass' approval after Assembly session concludes on Wednesday, stated reports.

Commotion within party for ministerial berths

Since Congress won the Karnataka Elections, there has been commotion in the party--first over CM's post and now over ministerial berths. Among 135 seats, most have been won by senior leaders and thus are pressuring the party for ministership.
