Following his expulsion from the RJD party, Tej Pratap Yadav has unfollowed several family members on X, including his sisters, creating digital distance just before Raksha Bandhan. This move is being seen as a sign of deepening family rifts.
Two days ago, Tej Pratap challenged the RJD party, stating he would contest independently from the Mahua assembly constituency if denied a ticket – the seat from where he was first elected as MLA. Currently, RJD's Mukesh Kumar Raushan represents Mahua, while Tej Pratap represents Hasanpur in the assembly.

On X, Tej Pratap previously followed 19 accounts but now follows only six, his father Lalu Prasad, mother Rabri Devi, younger brother Tejashwi Yadav, former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, actor Ritesh Deshmukh, and Team Tej Pratap Yadav. He has unfollowed sisters Misa Bharti, Rajlakshmi Yadav, and Hema Yadav.

It is being speculated that he unfollowed his sisters due to their lack of support within the family. He continues following his parents and brother, hoping for a Mahua ticket.
On Wednesday, Tej Pratap shared a fictional dream on X where the Prime Minister allegedly offered him BJP membership, to which he responded that he has his own party. His car now displays a green-white flag reading "Team Tej Pratap Yadav," though he has no registered political party.
