Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, are making headlines as reports surfaced about their alleged plans to separate after 37 years of marriage. While the couple has remained silent, their close family members dismissed the rumours, claiming that their bond was unbreakable.
Adding fuel to the fire, several media reports also speculated that Govinda is involved in an extramarital affair with a 30-year-old Marathi actress, though no details about her identity emerged.
Amid their divorce reports, Sunita's past interviews resurfaced on social media, where she humourously called men 'girgits (chameleons)' and warned women against trusting them.
In a candid chat with Hindi Rush in January, Sunita admitted that her feelings of security in her marriage had changed over the years. She shared that earlier, she never doubted Govinda's faithfulness due to his hectic schedule, but now, with the actor crossing 60, she felt less assured.
In her signature witty style, Sunita teased, "60 ke baad log sathiya jaate hain… you never know what he will do."
When asked about rumours linking Govinda to a younger actresses, Sunita acknowledged that such gossip never bothered her during his peak years. However, she confessed that if similar rumours emerged now, they would make her uncomfortable.
Govinda and Sunita tied the knot on March 11, 1987, and have two children, Tina Ahuja and Yashvardhan. Though the divorce rumours created a stir, the couple's silence and their family’s firm denials have eventually put the speculations to rest.
