Malayalam actress Vincy Aloshious addressed the Shine Tom Chacko controversy in Kerala recently and stated that while she has already filed a complaint with the Kerala Film Chamber and Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), she does not want to take legal action against the actor for misbehaving with her on the sets of their film.
During her public appearance, Vincy stated that she wants to deal with the matter internally and not take it outside the Kerala film industry. She also mentioned that she wants to see a change in the industry which is why she decided to file the complaint with Kerala Film Chamber.
For those unversed, Vincy shared a video on her Instagram handle a few days ago, claiming that she received backlash for stating she would never work with actors who consume drugs. Sharing the reason behind her statement, she revealed that an actor had misbehaved with her on the sets of her film under the influence of drugs.
"Once, when there was a minor issue with my costume, he came forward and said, ‘Shall I have a look? I’ll fix it for you,’ in front of everyone," she said, adding that she had seen him "exhale a white powdery substance" during the rehearsal.
Reportedly, the 'actor' Vincy referred to was none other than Shine Tom Chacko.
Meanwhile, actor Shine Tom Chacko was arrested on April 19 after he was caught running away from a hotel in Chennai during a major drugs raid by the local police.
While the actor managed to flee the hotel on April 17, he was nabbed on April 19, and was released on bail the same day. The police has, however, now launched an investigation into the financial details of the actor.
