Mumbai: Months after facing massive backlash over his YouTube show 'India’s Got Latent', comedian Samay Raina is all set to comeback to the live stage in India with a new stand-up tour titled 'Samay Raina Is Alive And Unfiltered'.
This will be his first India tour since the controversy; the comedian announced on Wednesday that the tour will kick off on August 15 in Bengaluru.
40,000 Tickets Sold In An Hour
Within an hour of the ticket sales going live, 40,000 tickets were sold. Celebrating the overwhelming response, Samay expressed his gratitude on his Instagram Story, writing, “The love is unreal. We have sold 40,000 tickets in an hour for the tour. That’s a record Thank you so much for the love, we will bring the house down.”

In another post, he shared a video of his mother and said,"Sab Ma ke aashrivad ka kammal hai, which translates to, the success was all thanks to the blessings of his mother.
International Tour
Samay was on a tour across Europe, UK, Australia, and New Zealand, which began on June 5 and concluded in Sydney on July 20.
India's Got Latent Controversy
For the unversed, India's Got Latent controversy erupted after YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia made an objectionable comment during his appearance as a panelist on the show. He asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?"
