A Mumbai police team along with forensic experts arrived at the Andheri residence of actress-model Shefali Jariwala on Saturday morning (June 28), following her sudden demise at the age of 42.

According to the Mumbai Police, they received a call around 1 am informing them about Shefali's death. "Her body was found at her residence in the Andheri area. Mumbai Police received information about this at 1 am. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. The cause of death is not yet clear," said an official, as reported by ANI.

Mumbai Police have recorded the statement of Shefali's husband, actor Parag Tyagi, at their home, along with three other people.

Initial reports had stated that Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri by her husband. However, hospital staff confirmed she was declared brought dead upon arrival.

A new detail has emerged, with police now stating that Shefali was found unresponsive at her residence. The postmortem report is awaited to determine the exact cause of death.

Parag and Shefali's mother's heartbreaking visuals surface

Devastated family members, including Parag and her mother, were seen leaving the hospital in separate vehicles. Videos of the grieving family exiting the facility have surfaced online.

Shefali's journey in entertainment industry

Shefali rose to fame in 2002 with her sizzling performance in the chartbuster music video Kaanta Laga, which earned her the nickname 'Kaanta Laga Girl.' She later appeared in several music videos and films, including a small role in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.

In 2019, she made a successful comeback to the spotlight as a participant on Bigg Boss 13.

Over the years, Shefali had built a steady presence in television and digital media. Her fans appreciated her candidness, grace, and ability to reinvent herself while staying away from unnecessary controversies.

Shefali was married to Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros' fame in 2004. However, they parted ways in 2009. She tied the knot with actor Parag Tyagi in 2014.
