Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore recently shared her thoughts on the Bollywood journeys of her grandchildren, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. While she expressed pride in both of them, she didn't hold back when speaking about Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim's debut film, Nadaaniyan.

According to a report in Times Now, Sharmila Tagore said in an interview, "Sara and Ibrahim are doing a wonderful job," but added, "Ibrahim's film was not good, but he still looks very handsome. He has tried his best. These things shouldn't really be said in front of everyone, but honestly, the picture isn't great. Ultimately, the picture has to be good."

Meanwhile, Sharmila Tagore had nothing but praise for Sara. Calling her a 'good actress', she said, "Sara works very hard and is capable of doing a lot more. She’ll also achieve that."

While the debut of Ibrahim, alongside co-star Khushi Kapoor, generated buzz due to their star kid status, the film failed to impress critics and audiences alike. Both young actors received mixed to negative reviews for their performances. Some celebrities and industry insiders also pointed out the lack of depth and polish in their acting.

However, not all feedback has been harsh. Several celebrities, including Karan Johar, Hansal Mehta, Jugal Hansraj, Dia Mirza, and others, also stepped in to support the young actors, reminding audiences that judging actors based on their first films can be unfair.

Soon after the film released on Netflix last month, Ibrahim slammed Pakistani film critic Tamur Iqbal for posting a negative review of Nadaaniyan.

Not holding back, Ibrahim messaged the critic, saying, "Tamur almost like Taimur .. you got my brother's name. Guess what you don't got? His face. You ugly piece of trash, since you can't keep your words to yourself don't bother, they're irrelevant just like you. Ugly goddamn piece of sh*t I feel bad for you and your family- and if I see you on the streets one day, I'll make sure I leave you uglier than you are you walking piece of scum."

About Nadaaniyan

While the film marks Ibrahim's acting debut, Khushi has starred in two films earlier -- The Archies and Loveyapa. Directed by Shauna Gautam, Nadaaniyan is a romantic drama that captures the magic, madness and innocence of first love.

Khushi is seen as Pia, a bold and spirited girl from South Delhi. On the other hand, Ibrahim plays the role of Arjun, a determined middle-class boy from Noida.

The film also stars Archana Puran Singh, Meezaan Jafri, Dia Mirza, Jugal Hansraj, Suniel Shetty, Mahima Chaudry, and others.
