Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, known for starring opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the Bollywood film Raees, deleted her post condemning Pahalgam terror attack within a few hours of posting it on Instagram. Several Pakistani celebrities have been taking to their social media accounts to express grief over the tragedy.

On Thursday (April 24), around 9 pm, Mahira penned a note calling the Pahalgam attack an act of 'cowardice'. She wrote, "Violence anywhere in the world, in any shape or form is an act of mere cowardice. My condolences to all those affected by the attack in Pahalgam," and added a broken heart emoticon.

According to media reports, she deleted the story on Friday morning. However, it is not known why she pulled down the story. Take a look at her now-deleted post here:

Other Pakistani celebrities, including Fawad Khan, Hania Aamir and Mawra Hocane, also condemned the terror attack.

On the other hand, actors like Farhan Saeed and Sabeena Farooq accused the Indian media of spreading hate after the ghastly attack that killed 26 innocent lives.

On April 22, a horrific terrorist attack unfolded in broad daylight at a popular tourist spot in Pahalgam. According to eyewitness accounts, the assailants opened fire on unsuspecting tourists after reportedly questioning them about their religion.

The brutal assault claimed the lives of 26 individuals, including a local horse-rider who was shot while attempting to disarm one of the terrorists and protect the visitors.

The incident has sent shockwaves across the country, sparking widespread outrage and grief.
