Boman Irani's son Kayoze Irani's directorial Sarzameen, which is produced by Karan Johar, has started streaming on Jio Hotstar. The film stars Kajol, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Ibrahim Ali Khan in the lead roles. Many people have already watched it, and the movie has failed to impress the netizens.
A netizen tweeted, "FAILED TO IMPRESSED... Still waiting for #IbrahimAliKhan good movie.... Prithvi sir nd Kajol ma'am do their job very well but..not enough Weak screenplay Weak direction Movie is too...slow. (sic)"
Another X user wrote, "Good one time OTT watch. The narrative could have been far more gripping if the execution matched the huge strength of the plot. #Kajol delivers a standout performance - will remind you of Gupt. Prithviraj is impressive too and IAK has improved (sic)."

Sarzameen Reviews
Even from critics, the movie has received mixed reviews. The Free Press Journal reviewer gave the film 2.5 stars and wrote, "Sarzameen—which translates to homeland—is less a film and more a checklist of patriotic tropes and emotional clichés. It wants you to feel, but insists on telling you exactly how and when. Earnest in tone but formulaic in structure, it leans heavily on a dated blueprint and forced execution. If you're nostalgic for early-2000s nationalism-meets-family-dilemma drama, this might suffice. Otherwise, this is well-trodden terrain best left undisturbed."
Ibrahim Ali Khan's Second Film Failing To Impress
Ibrahim Ali Khan made his debut with Naadaniyan which was released earlier this year. The film was criticised a lot, and even Ibrahim's performance was not apprecated.
While for Sarzameen he has received mixed reviews, the film has turned out to be disappointing. So, let's hope that in future, the actor gets a better movie which can impress the audience.
