Salman Khan starrer Sikandar, which was released on Eid this year, failed to make a mark at the box office. There were reports that the actor will star in a movie titled Ganga Ram alongside Sanjay Dutt. However, fans of Salman on social media demanded that he should not to the film, and reportedly, it has been put on a backburner. A few days ago, there were reports that filmmaker Apporva Lakhia has approached Salman with a script which is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley Conflict. Now, according to a report in Pinkvilla, the actor has decided to do Apporva's film.
The report also stated that filmmakers like Ali Abbas Zafar, Kabir Khan, Raaj Shaandilyaa, Siddharth Anand, Rajkumar Periasamy, Anees Bazmee, and Krish Ahir had also met the actor, but it was Apoorva's film that grabbed his attention.
A source told the portal, “Apoorva Lakhia and Salman Khan are all set to start shooting for the film from July 2025. The film will be shot in Ladakh and Mumbai, over a period of 70-days starting July. It features Salman Khan as an army officer in a full fledged film for the first time in his career, and he will be joined by 3 other actors from the younger generation."

Salman Khan-Kabir Khan Not Reuniting For Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2?
The source further added that after Apoorva's film, Salman might star in Kabir Khan's directorial. However, it won't be Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 as the filmmaker is against sequels. Even though he has heard the idea of the sequel, Kabir is not keen on making it.
The filmmaker has approached Salman with another film which is a larger-than-life drama, and the actor is considering it. Reportedly, it will go on the floors in November after Apoorva's film is wrapped up.
Well, it looks like Salman has listened to his fans and is concentrating more on scripts and directors that he should work with.
