Actor Ishaan Khatter, who was recently seen in the Netflix show The Royals, is in a relationship with Kuala Lumpur-based model Chandni Bainz. While the couple has never publicly confirmed their relationship or shared pictures together online, they are frequently seen together at intimate dinner outings. The actor has now spoken about his reasons for maintaining privacy around his relationship.
Ishaan Khatter On Protecting Relationship With Chandni Bainz
Speaking to Zoom, Ishaan shared that he believes it's important to respect his partner Chandni Bainz’s privacy as well. He acknowledged that being in the limelight naturally sparks public curiosity, but when something feels right and special, there’s an instinct to protect it, and that, he says, is exactly how he feels.
"I don't want to hide or lie or anything. Also, I am not going to stop living my life, I am in my 20s and I am not going to hide in a hole. I am not going to not go out and have a meal if I want to, you can't stop living your life," he added.
'I Act For Cameras, But Can't Live For Cameras': Ishaan
The 29-year-old actor added that he is not going to allow that to dictate how he thinks, feels and every decision he makes because someone has have to be aware of what the conversation is.
"But if you are doing that, you are living for the cameras. I act for the cameras, but I can't live for the cameras," shared Ishaan.
Ishaan had confirmed their relationship in an earlier interview with The Dirty Magazine and said, "I’ve been in a relationship with someone who is not as established as me, so I’m very aware of how it affects the women I’m with."
Rumours of Ishaan and Chandni’s relationship first surfaced in September 2023, after the two were spotted walking out of a building hand-in-hand in Mumbai.
