Saif Ali Khan made it to the headlines a few days ago, when he was attacked by a burglar at his house in Bandra, Mumbai. The actor was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital in an auto rickshaw. Saif underwent a surgery on the same day he was admitted, and later his team had shared a statement that he is out of danger.
The actor was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday (January 21), and he happily posed for the media and fans outside his house. The accused, Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla, who attacked Saif has been arrested and was in the police custody.
The Bandra police sought 7 days' police custody of the accused. The Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, Bandra, granted police custody until 29th January.
After the accused was arrested, it was revealed that he is a 30-year-old man from Bangladesh who came to Mumbai seven months ago. Reportedly, in his statement to police, he has said that he just wanted to steal something, so he can use the money for his ailing mother.
The attack on Saif has raised many questions about the security and safety of the people. For the protection of Saif, the family has hired actor Ronit Roy's security agency. The day Hum Tum actor was discharged, the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor was there at Saif's house to personally look into the security.

Talking about Saif's upcoming project, the actor will be seen in a movie titled Jewel Thief which is produced by Siddharth Anand. Reportedly, in March this year, Saif will start the promotions of the film. According to reports, by mid this year, Saif will start shooting for Race 4 which also stars Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role. However, the movie is not yet officially announced.
