RJ Mahvash has been making headlines in recent months, thanks to ongoing speculation about her close bond with Team India cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. She once again caught the public's attention on Monday (June 2), after Chahal's IPL team, Punjab Kings (PBKS), defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) to secure a spot in the final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
She took a dig at fans of MI who had claimed that Punjab will not reach the finals of IPL 2025. For those unversed, after the first IPL Qualifier between Chahal's team and RCB on May 30, Mahvash shared pictures from the match on her official Instagram account and had turned off the comments section.
In the caption, she had predicted that Chahal's team will reach the finals. After PBKS won the match, Mahvash took to her Instagram story and re-shared the post. Along with it, she wrote, "Lo khol diye comments... ab batao! Kaun tha ke 'SORRY BUT MI jeetegi," and added laughing emoticons.
Rumours of Chahal and Mahvash surfaced around the time the former was in the process of getting divorced from his first wife, actress-choreographer Dhanashree Verma. Their divorce was finalised in March 2025.
While Chahal and Mahvash both maintained that they were only good friends, the latter has been at the receiving end of severe backlash and trolling, and netizens also accused her of breaking the cricketer's marriage.
Meanwhile, Mahvash has been a constant at all matches of Punjab Kings this season, and she can be seen supporting the leg spinner from the stands.
While the link-up rumours kept going viral, Mahvash declared in a recent podcast that she was "single and happy", and while at it, she also stated that she is someone who "dates to marry".
On the other hand, Chahal has not reacted to their dating rumours yet.
