Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, and Vishal Jethwa attended the Cannes Film Festival this year as their film Homebound premiered there. Their videos and pictures from Cannes went viral on social media. In one of the videos, Janhvi is seen walking in an auditorium and Vishal is holding her trail. When they reach near the stage, Ishaan gives his hand to Janhvi, but the actress ignores his gesture and walks up on stage without any support. Soon, netizens felt that Janhvi snubbed Ishaan because reportedly they were dating and later broke up. Recently, during an interview with Zoom, Vishal revealed whether Janhvi snubbed Ishaan or not.
He stated, “Yeh Sab baatein ban jaati hai, aisa kuch hai nahi. Maine Ishaan, Janhvi ko kaam karte hue dekha hai aur woh bahot comfortably kaam kar sakte hai. Woh dono ek dusre ke well-wisher hai, bahot achche se baat karte hai (All these things become a farce, there is nothing like that. I have seen Ishaan, Janhvi working, and they can work very comfortably. Both of them are well-wishers of each other, they talk very well).”
“Waha pe maine uska trail pakadke chal raha tha. Mujhe aa bhi nahi raha tha ke kaise pakadna hai, main bas uski madat kar raha tha. Janhvi jab upar chadh rahi thi, Ishaan haath de raha tha, tab woh apne kapde hold kar rahi thi, isliye usne haath nahi diya hoga. Woh itni samajh dar hai, woh aisi disrespectful chiz zara bhi nahi kar sakti, utna main use jaan paya ho. (I was holding her trail there. I did not even know how to hold it, I was just helping her. When Janhvi was climbing up, Ishaan offered his hand, and she was holding her clothes, maybe that’s why she didn’t give him her hand. She is so intelligent, she cannot do such a disrespectful thing, that much I have got to know her),” Vishal added.

Meanwhile, after the premiere, Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound received a 9-minute standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival. The team of the film got very emotional after getting such a response.
