Actress Rashami Desai has strongly condemned the actions of paparazzi who were seen recording singer Neha Bhasin from behind, despite her clear discomfort. Taking to her social media on Monday (July 7), Rashami shared a video that captured the incident, in which paparazzi are seen following Neha on the streets of Mumbai.
Despite Neha repeatedly asking them to stop, they continued to click photos and take videos from behind. Calling out this invasion of privacy, Rashami criticised the lack of respect shown towards female celebrities, and slammed paps for irresponsible behaviour.
Rashami reacts to Neha's viral video
In the video, Neha is seen interacting with paps. Referring to a photographer, the singer said, "Woh mere favourite hai. Aaplog ki tarah gande-gande shots nahi lete hai." Paps laughed after Neha's comment and continued to record her from behind.
This did not go down well with Rashami and she was in no mood to ignore the video, posted by a paparazzo on Instagram.
Resharing the video on her Instagram story, the Uttaran actress wrote, "She is really senior and the body of work she has done you can only imagine in this lifetime. Its really insulting and trust me it's not funny."
'What are you guys trying to show?'
Lashing out at the paps, the actress added, "Even after she's telling you'll u all are behaving like this. It shows you guys have no respect and its the BG keeping it on purpose what are you trying to show guys????"
This is not the first time that paps have been called out for their behaviour. A few months back, Neha had also schooled the shutterbugs for recording her from behind.
In one of the videos, while she carried a huge pink umbrella, she was also seen covering her lower back with her water bottle. As the paps requested her to pose for the cameras, the singer said, "Tum logo ne badnaam kar diya hai mujhko." She went on to say, "Aadhe se zyada logo ko mera back pata hai."
She was then seen rushing inside her car and quickly zooming away before any further conversation with the paps.
Gauahar slams paps over Pragya's viral video
Recently, actress and host Gauahar Khan lashed out at paps for their inappropriate behaviour towards actress Pragya Jaiswal in a viral video, which was captured when the actress attended Zayed Khan's birthday bash in Mumbai.
It all started when Pragya finished posing and began to walk away. She could hear some of the paps inappropriately hooting her name and making strange noises, which clearly made her uncomfortable.
Reacting to this, Gauahar took to her Instagram story and wrote, "Aren't the paps encouraging eve-teasing culture? It's not the first time. There are a lot of them who are respectful but there are also so many who constantly make lewd comments. I think this needs to be called out. Lines can't be crossed."
