Kannada actor Santhosh Balaraj, the son of producer Anekal Balaraj, passed away on Tuesday at a hospital in Karnataka, while undergoing treatment for jaundice. The actor was admitted to the ICU of a private hospital for the past few days, but he could not be saved.
According to reports, Santhosh was admitted to the ICU of Sagar Apollo Hospital in Kumaraswamy Layout, Karnataka, after being diagnosed with jaundice, but he was not responding to the treatment. He eventually succumbed on Tuesday.
Santhosh was 34 at the time of his demise. He is survived by his widowed mother.
Santhosh's untimely death comes two months after his father, Anekal Balaraj's demise, in 2022. He had died on May 15, 2022, in Bengaluru in a road accident.
Fans of the actor were in for a shock, and condolence messages poured in for his bereaved family.

Santhosh marked his debut in the lead role in the 2009 film, Kempa. The film also starred actors like Avinash, Ruchita Prasad, and Pradeep Singh Rawat, among others.
However, it was Santhosh's 2015 film, Ganapa, which propelled him to success. He also starred in Kariya 2, which was produced by his father himself. The film also featured Ajay Ghosh, Mayuri Kyatari, Sadhu Kokila, and others.
In 2024, Santhosh appeared in the film, Sathyam.
