Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has reacted to Telugu actor Allu Arjun's arrest by the police in connection with a stampede at the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule in Hyderabad, which led to the death of a 35-year-old woman at Sandhya Theatre on December 4.

Kangana told Aaj Tak, "I am a big supporter of Allu Arjun. Having said that, you have to set an example. Just because we are high-profile people, doesn't mean we shouldn't have any consequences. People's lives are very precious."

"Be it smoking ads or a crowded theatre, I think they (the Pushpa 2 team) were present at the event. Everybody should have accountability," she added.

The recent update in the case is that Allu Arjun, who was earlier remanded to 14 days of judicial custody, has now been granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court. Additionally, he has been directed to furnish a personal bond of Rs 50,000.

Earlier today, Rashmika Mandanna supported Pushpa 2 co-star Allu Arjun after his arrest and stated that the situation is 'unbelievable' and 'heartbreaking.'

"I can’t believe what I am seeing right now. The incident that happened was an unfortunate and deeply saddening incident. However, it is disheartening to see everything being blamed on a single individual. This situation is both unbelievable and heartbreaking," she wrote on X.

The husband of the deceased woman Revathi stated that he is willing to withdraw his case. Further, he shared that Allu Arjun was not responsible for the stampede.

Speaking with reporters hours on Friday, Bhaskar said, "We only went to Sandhya Theatre that day because my son wanted to watch the movie. It's not Allu Arjun's fault that he visited the theatre that day. I am ready to withdraw my case. Police didn't inform me of his arrest, I watched it on the news at the hospital. He (Arjun) has nothing to do with stampede."
