Global pop icon Jennifer Lopez faced an unexpected moment during her shopping spree in Turkey when she was stopped from entering a Chanel boutique at Istanbul's upscale Istinye Park mall. The incident occurred just a day before her much-anticipated concert at Yenikapi Festival Park.
According to Turkish media reports, a security guard at the Chanel store halted JLo at the entrance, explaining that the shop was already full. The singer reportedly took it in stride, responding politely with, "Okay, no problem," before walking away.
It is believed the staff did not initially recognise the American pop icon, and by the time they realised, it was too late. Though they later invited her inside, JLo declined the offer.
The brief snub didn't deter her from indulging in retail therapy. According to media reports, she spent nearly three hours shopping at other luxury brands nearby, including Celine and Beymen, reportedly splurging tens of thousands of dollars.
Several photos and videos of the singer have been doing the rounds on social media platforms. In the visuals, she is seen wearing a baby pink outfit and huge sunglasses. JLo was surrounded by security guards as she walked through the streets.
JLo is in Turkey as part of her Up All Night: Live in 2025 summer tour, which began in Spain on July 8 and will conclude on August 10 in Kazakhstan. Her Istanbul performance on August 5 was among the biggest shows in Turkiye this year.
The stage, specially built in the country, was inspired by Istanbul's famous seven hills, and around 1,500 crew members ensured the concert ran smoothly.

This was the singer's second stop in Turkey for the tour. She had earlier performed on July 23 at the Regnum Carya Resort Hotel, where she also celebrated her birthday the following day.
