Jacqueline Fernandez's mother, Kim Fernandez, passed away last month in Mumbai. The actress and her family was by her side during her last days. Jacqueline recently attended Cannes Film Festival 2025, and during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the actress opened up about her mother's demise.
While talking about how difficult it would have been for her to be at the Cannes as she lost her mother last month, Jacqueline said, “I was lucky that I was able to spend the last few months with her. One always feels, ‘I wish I did more.’ ‘What could I have done more?’ And it really, really takes a lot of time to come to terms with it. I don't think I have come to terms with it.”
“I look at it from the point of what she would have wanted. She was always my biggest cheerleader. She was always so proud and she would only want me to keep striving," the actress added.

The movie is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and it also stars Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma. Apart from Housefull 5, she also had Welcome To The Jungle lined up which also stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
Recently, Jacqueline was seen in the music video Besos, and her dance moves are being loved by one and love. On Instagram reels, it is a trending song.
